Chapel Library Trip, Update 1
January 2nd, 2008 by James GrantI have not been in front of a computer since early Monday morning. A group of 16 people from our church traveled to Pensacola, FL, Monday to help Mt Zion Bible Church and their ministry, Chapel Library, with some a few projects around their facilities such as a walkway, a deck, and a kitchen. We arrived about 6 pm Monday night, and we almost immediately started working on where the concrete would be poured. Tuesday we finished that up and also finished the top part of the deck. Wednesday we have been working on concrete most of the day. Now that the concrete is poured, we will be able to finish the steps coming off the deck. During this time, Pastor Blaine has been working on the kitchen.
It is Wednesday afternoon and we are winding things down so we can join Mt. Zion Bible Church for their Wednesday evening service. Tomorrow we will finish the deck and the kitchen, and we will be leaving Friday to head back to Memphis, TN. I don’t think that I will get another chance to post much until I get home. I have a few posts that I meant to get out before I left, so I might finish them.
