Peter Enns, WTS, & Confessionalism
May 22nd, 2008 by James GrantI haven’t had much time to post anything lately. I have been out of town this week, and I have not been able to get computer access. Now that I have it, my posts are backlogged and its late and I’m tired…but there is a quick post that I want to get out. Now that the situation involving Peter Enns at Westminster Theological Seminary is circulating through the blog world, several theologians are responding to it.
Prof. Bruce McCormack has written an essay that responds to the Historical and Theological Field Committee Report from WTS in regard to Peter Enns. You can read it here. Several people have responded to this essay, among them are Scott Clark and Mark Jones. Prof. Steve Holmes has now posted his thoughts on this issue as well. You can read that post here. Prof. McCormack examines the Christology found in the WTS report, and Prof. Holmes examines the issues involving confessional subscription.
