Thank God that Christ&#039;s work in the covenant of redemption makes the Spirit&#039;s work in the elect legally necessary.  That necessity of the Spirit&#039;s work renders any future apostasy of the elect &lt;i&gt;ontologically&lt;/i&gt; impossible.  

That same covenant-work and positive righteousness of Christ makes any future condemnation of the elect &lt;i&gt;legally&lt;/i&gt; impossible.

Thus, the righteousness of Christ renders both legal condemnation and ontological apostasy impossible for the elect.</description>
